With the cool fall weather rolling in, its about time to cozy up indoors with a nice, warm, seasonal beverage. So next time you need to warm up, stay home and try this simple, delicious, decadent recipe for pumpkin white hot chocolate!
Yield: 2 servings
1.5 cups whole milk
½ cup pumpkin puree
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Pinch of ground cloves
½ teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of sea salt
2 oz white chocolate
Pumpkin spice and cinnamon to taste
Over medium heat, combine milk, pumpkin, spices, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan. Heat thoroughly but do not allow to come to a boil.
Shave of ⅛ of the chocolate and set aside. Remove saucepan from heat and add remaining ⅞ of chocolate. Stir until melted.
Just before serving, top each mug with a generous mound of whipped cream, the shavings of white chocolate, and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice and/or cinnamon.
